Variable Speed Fan Control for Spray Booths

RTT’s Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) control panels provide precise motor speed control from 18Hz to 60Hz, allowing operators to easily adjust fan speed and optimize spray booth airflow. Improved airflow control simplifies booth balancing, enhances finishing performance, and helps maintain consistent operating conditions.

 

By gradually ramping motors up to speed, VFD panels reduce inrush current, lower energy consumption, and minimize stress on critical components. The result is increased equipment reliability, reduced maintenance costs, and extended service life for wear items such as belts and motors.

VFD Control Panel Features

  • Full airflow control — slow the fan with new filters, increase speed as filters load, or run at low speed during surface prep
  • Simplifies two-fan booth balancing (supply + exhaust) by giving operators direct speed control over the exhaust fan
  • Panel includes: main disconnect switch, VFD fuse protection, protection for up to 15 light fixtures, control relays, field wiring terminal strip, start/stop buttons, a speed potentiometer, and a magnehelic gauge for airflow balancing

Best for: High-production spray booths where airflow precision, energy efficiency, and easy balancing are priorities.
