W-Series 5200 RP Arrestors
99.93% Removal Efficiency. Built for High Production.
The W-Series 5200 handles both wet and tacky overspray and dry and dusty overspray efficiently – the same broad compatibility as the 5100 series, but with greater depth loading capacity for high-volume operations. The design combines RTT’s paper Paint Arrestor media with low-density polyester backing for fine-particle capture. The clean filter pressure drop of 0.05 in. wg rises to 0.15 in. wg at full load. Available in pad form (20″ × 20″ single layer, RP Part # W5200) and in roll form.
Features
- Nine-layer expanded paper construction: seven standard layers plus three high-capacity layers forming an alternating labyrinth structure
- Heavy polyester backing
- Construction designation: 9 Paper / 1 Heavy Poly
- Design combines paper Paint Arrestor media with low-density polyester backing
- Three high-capacity layers provide greater depth loading and increased paint holding capacity
- Single pad per layer (number of pads in series: 1)
- RP Part #: W5200 (single layer, 20″ × 20″ pad)
- Available in pad form (20″ × 20″) and roll form
- Initial pressure drop (clean filter): 0.05 in. wg
- Final pressure drop (loaded filter): 0.15 in. wg
- Paint holding capacity: 1,841 grams = 4.9 lb.
- Average removal efficiency: 99.93%
- Performs with wet and tacky overspray, dry overspray, and dusty overspray
- Suited for high production environments
- Tested by LMS Technologies, Inc.
Benefits
- Achieve the highest capture efficiency in the W-Series lineup – 99.93% average removal efficiency under independently tested conditions, compared to 99.83% for the 5100 and 99.81% for the 5000.
- Extend filter service intervals in high-production environments – a paint holding capacity of 4.9 lb. (vs. 3.9 lb. on the 5100 and 4.1 lb. on the 5000) reduces changeout frequency on high-volume finishing lines.
- Handle wet, tacky, dry, and dusty overspray from a single filter media – broad overspray compatibility eliminates the need to stock different filter types for different coating operations.
- Maintain consistent airflow as the filter loads – the pressure differential between clean (0.05 in. wg) and fully loaded (0.15 in. wg) keeps fan performance stable throughout the service life of the filter.
- Fit a wide range of booth configurations – available in both pad and roll form to match standard exhaust filter banks and continuous roll filter systems.

Selection Guide
- Coating overspray is slightly tacky or wet
- Lowest possible initial air resistance is required
- Fan HP is limited and pressure drop must be minimized
- Overspray varies between wet, dry, and dusty across production runs
- A broader overspray compatibility is needed without changing filter type
- Slightly higher efficiency than the W-5000 is required
- Maximum capture efficiency is required (99.93%)
- High production volume demands longer filter service intervals
- Wet, dry, or dusty overspray is present at high feed rates
