Industrial Paint Mixing Room

A Safer Space to Mix. A Faster Way to Finish.

RTT Finishing Solutions’ Industrial Paint Mixing Rooms provide a dedicated, filtered enclosure for safely storing and mixing paint in industrial finishing operations. Fresh air enters through a filtered ceiling intake at one end of the room, travels downward through the work area, and exhausts through a lower plenum at the opposite end — where a tubeaxial fan draws it through exhaust filters and discharges it upward to atmosphere through an exhaust stack. The result is a controlled environment that contains solvent vapors and prevents contaminated air from migrating into the surrounding facility.

Standard models range from 8 feet wide by 8 feet tall by 8 feet long up to 10 feet wide by 8 feet tall by 15 feet long, with 1,450 SCFM airflow delivered by a 12-inch, ¾ HP tubeaxial fan. Each unit ships with a pre-hung personnel access door in a heavy-gauge galvanized steel frame and four intake filters plus two exhaust filters. Construction uses 18-gauge prime-quality galvanized steel, with all panels and support members laser-cut and precision-folded for nut-and-bolt field assembly.

An optional control panel brings the system to ETL-listed status. Every RTT Industrial Paint Mixing Room meets and exceeds applicable OSHA and NFPA regulations.

Features

  • Modified downdraft airflow: ceiling filtered air intake at one end; lower exhaust plenum at opposite end; tubeaxial exhaust fan discharges through exhaust stack to atmosphere
  • 18-gauge prime-quality galvanized steel construction; laser-cut, precision-folded panels and support members; nut-and-bolt assembly
  • Pre-hung personnel access door in heavy-gauge galvanized steel frame
  • 12-inch diameter tubeaxial fan, ¾ HP motor
  • 4 intake filters and 2 exhaust filters included standard
  • Brand-name tubeaxial fans and motors
  • 5-year warranty
  • Meets and exceeds all applicable OSHA and NFPA regulations

Benefits

  • Contain solvent vapors within a dedicated enclosure — filtered downdraft airflow moves contaminated air away from the mixing area and out through the exhaust stack, keeping the surrounding facility clean.
  • Reduce fire and compliance risk – a purpose-built, OSHA- and NFPA-compliant mixing room separates flammable materials from the general production environment.
  • Reduce lighting energy and maintenance costs – E-Light LED Lighting fixtures require no safety interlock, and consume less energy than fluorescent alternatives.
  • Cover your room with a 5-year warranty – the longest warranty in the paint booth industry.
  • Reduce installation time – laser-cut, precision-folded panels and support members bolt together in the field without custom fabrication or special tooling.
  • Achieve ETL-listed system certification – the optional control panel brings the full mixing room to ETL-listed status.

Options & Configurations

  • Powder-coated white exterior finish (upgrade from standard galvanized)
  • Double doors
  • Control panel and electrical components (purchased separately — motor starters, multi-speed, VFD, touch screen, or PLC-based controls available; adds ETL-listed system certification)

Lighting

Every RTT Industrial Paint Mixing Room ships with E-Light LED Light fixtures. Fixtures are constructed from 22-gauge powder-coated white steel and are available in 4,000 and 8,000 lumen models. E-Lights are ETL-listed for the US and Canada, rated Class 1 Division 2 (Groups A, B, C, D) and Class 2 Division 2 (Groups F and G). Because E-Light fixtures meet spray booth safety requirements by design, no safety interlock is required — reducing installation cost and ongoing maintenance. Lighting levels are calculated and engineered using photometric software.

Control Panels

RTT offers pre-wired motor starters, UL-listed control panels, VFD controls, and optional touchscreens to simplify operation, fan speed adjustment, and booth balancing. All panels feature a single-point connection for quick and easy installation.
