RTT Finishing Solutions’ Multi-Stage Process Washers are custom-engineered conveyor pass-through systems designed for chemical pretreatment applications ahead of painting or powder coating. Every system is developed in conjunction with chemical suppliers to meet the standards of current pretreatment technology, and each washer is sized to the customer’s specific part dimensions and cycle time requirements. A sloped roof design channels condensed water down the side walls and away from parts passing through the system.
Heating is handled by a nozzle-mix tube-firing burner that fires at high velocities through 10 stainless steel serpentine immersion tubes. Combustion gases scrub the inner tube surface to produce high heat transfer rates, achieving system efficiencies of 75% to 80%. All pump motors run on variable frequency drives to provide precise nozzle pressure control. Each stage includes water level control to maintain acceptable solution quality in recirculation, and a low water safety switch protects the burner tubing on all heated stages.
Structural integrity centers on a continuous pitched grill under the washer tank and angle stiffeners inside the tank walls, with stainless steel 2″ × 2″ × ¼″ support angles framing all tank lids and pump plates. Solution pumps are top lift-out, vertical mount units with semi-open impellers and “C” Face motors — eliminating field coupling and alignment issues and simplifying maintenance. Tank turn rating is a minimum of 3 to 1. All RTT multi-stage process washers meet and exceed applicable OSHA and NFPA regulations.

Control Panels
