Downdraft Truck & Large Equipment Paint Booths
Downdraft booths are among the most popular as a result of their superior airflow control. By managing overspray more efficiently and reducing prep time, downdraft booths redirect fresh air through a filtered booth ceiling for an enhanced work environment. The air moves down to the bottom of the booth where it is exhausted in an efficient, effective way.

Side Downdraft Truck & Large Equipment Paint Booths
Shops or facilities in search of the most economical solution will appreciate the side downdraft paint booths. With this configuration, there is no need to install a pit while still benefiting from the versatility, functionality and efficiency of a downdraft paint booth. The air is pulled from intake filters at the ceiling where it is directed down along the sides of both walls. This allows for a safer work environment that effectively removes harmful paint fumes while improving the painting and finishing process.
What Is a Large Equipment Spray Booth?
A large equipment spray booth is a specialized enclosure designed for painting and finishing oversized industrial products. These booths are commonly used across industries such as aviation, rail, mining, trucking, and wind energy—anywhere that requires a clean, controlled environment to apply coatings to large parts or vehicles.
Large equipment spray booths provide a safe, contaminant-free workspace that meets or exceeds all OSHA and NFPA regulations. By controlling airflow, temperature, and humidity, they help ensure consistent paint application and proper curing conditions while minimizing overspray and energy waste.
RTT’s large equipment spray booths are available in a range of airflow configurations—including crossdraft, modified downdraft, side downdraft, and downdraft—and can be built in solid back, drive-through, or reverse-flow designs. Each booth can be pressurized or non-pressurized and equipped with a dedicated air make-up unit (AMU), prep and cure cycles, temperature and humidity controls, and air recirculation modes for added efficiency.
Built from precision-cut, 18-gauge galvanized steel, RTT’s booths come in several pre-engineered standard sizes as well as fully customizable configurations to fit unique site and application requirements. Depending on usage demands, customers can choose from Standard, Heavy, or Xtreme-Duty construction for maximum durability and performance.
Please Note (*): The utilization of spray booth exhaust filters other than the RTT RP W-Series filters will reduce the RTT spray booth and AMU warranty period to one (1) year. Temperature and humidity controlled systems do not qualify for the 5-year warranty. Please contact your local distributor or RTT if you have any questions regarding this program. RTT reserves the right to deny warranty claims if proper booth maintenance is not performed. This warranty is for parts only. Labor is not included. This warranty is not transferable.

The quality and workmanship of RTT paint booths allows us to be the only Paint Booth Manufacturer to offer a Five (5) Year Warranty* provided the customer utilizes our RTT high performance RP “W-Series” exhaust filters. These filters have been designed, tested and approved to provide superior paint particle separation while restricting the least amount of air flow in accordance with ASHRAE 52.1.
